So I just found this pretty amazing website that details a potential mix of alternative energy mixes custom designed for each individual state. It takes each states available energy resources into account such as North Dakota's wind and Arizona's sunshine and has designed a custom mix of renewable energy for that state.
It also shows projected cost savings for electricity, health benefits for the people in the state, how many jobs are created and basically how much better life would be if we weren't stuck on coal, oil, and natural gas.
